Kent State

March Winds
Despite these chilly and forceful winds, the visitors to Burrington's Coombe have been thrilling to watch. We've had a nuthatch, tufted titmouse, mourning doves, the entertaining and frisky dark-eyed juncos, a family of downy woodpeckers and an occasional ladderback woodpecker. Wow.

February Visitors
What an exciting day! A pair of white-tipped doves, a Northern Shrike and an unusual red-bellied woodpecker all visited today. I bought new bird food with fruit and nuts, perhaps that's the draw.

Downy Woodpecker
Isn't she lovely? What beautiful feathers.
We have both Downy and Ladder-backed Woodpeckers visit us.
Quite a treat.
